Tomodachi Auction

Mark your calendars! The Tomodachi Auction is one of JBBP’s largest fundraisers. We auction off donations from our community and local businesses to fund our JBBP program. Last year we made more than $25K that helped fund technology on campus, science, social studies and art field trips, plus all enrichment programs, including PE, Music, Art, Computer Studies, and, of course, Japanese.

An in-person auction event, Tomodachi Live on Friday, March 15. The auction will start online but there will be items available to bid on at the event!

how will it work?

The Tomodachi Auction is a virtual event. We'll have a range of items for you to bid on, from gift certificates to unique experiences to wine, and you get to shop from your keyboard or mobile device. A great way to meet Clarendon families is by buying into hosted events!

Tell Your Friends and Family!
Feel free to tell your friends and family that they can bid too! Only certain community events (buy-in parties) are intended to be restricted to Clarendon families (and you'll see that in the fine print for those items).

Tomodachi LIVE

Where: Friday March 15, 6 - 9pm
Where: Saint Nicholas Antiochian Orthodox Church

Our in-person auction event, Tomodachi Live, will be on Friday, March 15. The auction will start online but there will be special items only available to bid on at the event! Please join us for this special opportunity to mingle with your fellow JBBP parents in the fun and festive atmosphere before the auction closes. The evening will include dinner, drinks and dancing.

  • Adult Ticket (includes buffet dinner and entertainment): $85

  • School-Aged Child Ticket: $25 (includes food and childcare)

  • Fund admission for a Clarendon Teachers, Staff & Consultants: $85

Childcare is available but limited spots sold on a first come first served basis. Food (chicken tenders/fries) & supervision included. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate pre-school aged or younger children but you can bring them along if you cannot find alternative childcare.

Ticket sales will benefit JBBP Parent Advisory Council, with proceeds going directly into our Annual Fund to pay for school enrichments (Japanese, art, music, etc).

Donate Items
Gift certificates are always in high demand: restaurants, merchants, spas, gyms, camps, etc. Event tickets and wine also do very well at the auction.

Teach
We're blessed to have a talented community. Cooking, dessert making, rock climbing, dancing, yoga/pilates, guitar lessons, etc. Whatever your talent is, there’s someone out there that wants to learn

Create a "Clarendon's Own" Donation
People love Clarendon’s Own auction items! Host events such as dinners or hikes. Parents have already donated dinners at classic SF restaurants and Tiki parties in their own backyards. They are always highly sought after, and there are loads of options:

  • Offer to host a dinner or cocktail party at your house

  • Throw a kids sleepover bash

  • Organize a pool party

  • Share a talent

  • Donate a professional skill or service

You are clever and creative, and we can't wait to see what you come up with.
