Walk-a-Thon

Please join the annual Clarendon Walkathon!
This is a school-wide event, so that means EVERYONE is invited and encouraged to participate! The Walkathon is a super fun way to raise money for our two amazing programs that keep Clarendon so special - JBBP and SC.

The kids absolutely love Walkathon! Whether the weather is foggy, sunny, or cold or lava or rainbows. They love it and have a blast! We all have fun, and the students feel a special pride getting to contribute to their programs' fundraiser. So come out, meet other families, grab a bite to eat, and have an all around great time. It’s a fun event the whole family can enjoy, while also supporting our wonderful school.

When:
Sunday, Oct 15. Registration opens at 9:15 am, Walkathon begins at 10 am

Where:
Lincoln High School track
Entrance to the track is close to the corner of 22nd Ave and Santiago St. Please see the map.

 
 

how does it work?

This year we have the ability to contribute a set amount, or pay per lap! With the new fundraising platform, 99 Pledges, you can casually (or not so casually) ask anyone to pledge ANY amount towards your child's Walkathon laps. So get all your friends and family involved! Get them to share your child's link. Anyone can donate and contribute any amount towards your child's goal! 

  1. You will be receiving an email from 99 Pledges with a unique link to your child's page (Look in your spam filter if you didn’t get the email)

  2. Update the photo and/or change the fundraising goal

  3. Share their page with family and friends. Donations will be directly linked to your student’s name

  4. On Sunday, Oct 15, we walk, and have a lot of fun doing it

  5. We tally the laps

Note: When donating, there will be a grey box for a tip. The tip goes to the hosting provider:  99 Pledges.


Walkathon t-shirt

This year’s walkathon t-shirt was proudly designed by a JBBP 5th grader! We will have limited sales at the event on Sunday the 15th, so be sure to get them early.  Walkathon T-Shirts will be sold outside the school on the following days/times

  • Thursday, Oct 5, 3:15-4:15 PM

  • Tuesday, Oct 10, 3:15-4:15 PM

  • Thursday, Oct 12, 9:00 - 9:45 AM

  • Add your songs to the playlist here

  • We are expecting around 3,000 kids plus their adults - parking will be tricky and if you are late it's fine!

  • Head to the registration table when you get there to check in so we know that you are participating

  • Line up around 9:50 and stretch. we'll kickoff at 10am

What to bring

  • Bring your water bottle!

  • Hello Fogtober!!  Weather is expected to be cool and foggy with a high of 62, but wear sunscreen and also bring layers

  • We will have snacks after the event, feel free to bring your own picnic and/or gear to extend the day and hang out on the field

  • You can bring contributions to the event and give them to the parent volunteers at the registration table

after the event

  • Before you leave, make sure to stop by the registration table to hand in your lap count and get your medal - I promise you’ll want one!
